A Little About Wheels
WHEELS is a service of the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA), which provides local public transit service to the cities of Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton and to the adjacent unincorporated areas of Alameda County.
WHEELS is operated by the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA). LAVTA was created in 1986 under a Joint Powers Agreement between the three cities and Alameda County. LAVTA provides a variety of transportation services including Fixed Route, DART (Direct Access Responsive Transit), Dial-A-Ride, Prime Time and Shuttles.
We have many photos of Wheels coaches in this section. Although there is a few photos we took ourselves, many of the photos are © Copyright Dan Parker of All Transit/The Transit-Terminal, and Eric Rosenberg and Gary Araki of The Bus Stops Here and are used by permission. The bus shown below with the anniversary message on the headsign was designed by rideo.org's webmaster, KimmiKat for use on the LAVTA website during 2001.
