Dial-A-Ride is a service for persons with disabilities who are ADA-certified to use paratransit.  This section features information about Vallejo Transit's Run About program.  The Run About system provides transportation to individuals who are unable to use Vallejo Transit and Benicia Transit public transportation, such as fixed-route transit buses, because of a disability or disabling health condition.  For detailed information regarding Run About, check their website at http://www.vallejotransit.com/runabout.html.

Who is eligible to ride Run About?

A person with a disability which prevents them from riding regular Vallejo Transit and Benicia Transit buses are eligible to ride Run About. Also, persons already determined to be eligible under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by another transit agency may ride Run About.

How is Run About service provided?
Run About operates 16 passenger vans which are able to carry 4-6 wheechairs at a time.  The Run About system is a "shared ride" service.  The vans arrives at your door within 15 minutes of the time you requested, and transports you, along with other riders, to your desired destination as quickly as possible.

Service Area
The service area includes communities served by the Vallejo Transit and Benicia Transit Agencies.  As a certified rider, you can travel anywhere within the service area, and can transfer to other paratransit services within the nine-counties Bay Area region.  Contact Run About on how to make connections to outside providers.

Hours of Operation
Run About operates Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 am to 7:00pm.  The service is not available on Sundays and holidays.
